Because more people are assuming responsibility as professional and volunteer catechetical leaders, dioceses and parishes need tools to educate, train, and form them in the vision of the National Directory for Catechesis (NDC). The Leader's Guide to the National Directory for Catechesis provides diocesan and parish leaders with workshop materials to present the NDC to others. The Leader's Guide consists of a book and CD with PowerPoint® presentations plus detailed accompanying text to support the slides. The printed guide includes (1) easy-to-follow instructions on giving a workshop on the NDC, (2) an outline of the purpose, audience, timeframe, and outcomes for each of the eight workshops and two presentations, and (3) the complete text of the Summary of the National Directory for Catechesis. As the Church continues to renew her catechetical life and ministry, the resources in the Leader's Guide to the National Directory for Catechesis will inspire professionals and volunteers, lay and clergy, and parents and children to respond to their call to proclaim the Gospel.
